What can cause powder coating to change color?

On my car rims, they are silver powder coated and one of them is now a neon yellow color! It looks to be drippings; it doesn't look like my rims got too hot and radiated heat around the rim. Is there any chemical or fluid used in the garage that could cause this ugly change in color?!What can cause powder coating to change color?
it sounds the the clear coat turned yellow.many things can cause this including dogs with upturned legs.the wrong cleaner used can turn them yellow also. What can cause powder coating to change color?
It may be rust from metal particles from the brake rotor wear, sticking to the powder coat and getting wet, thus rusting. I use aluminum storm door cleaner (wear rubber gloves)to wash the rims and hose off. I'll bet if your car has rear drum brakes, the problem is only on the front rims!
acid rain and time
heat, chemical interaction, sunlight, water/oxidation
acid rain...
Your rims probably had a poor powder coating job and the uv light is causing a chemical reaction along with your polish that you use.
