Powder Polyester Powder Coating - Rust Resistant?

I just bought a steel arbor that is coated in ';powder polyester';.


Is Powder Polyester rust resistant or should treat the metal with a rust inhibitor? Will a rust inhibitor damage the powder polyester?

Powder coating is rust proof... the issue will be if there are cracks in the coating. If there are then rusting is a factor.
