Powder coating chrome.?

ok before i get flamed. i am going to powder coat my chrome rims and i do know that i need to strip the chrome off first. but i only wanted to powder coat the inner part of the of the rim design. so my question is when i go to bake the powder coating i am wondering if it would run the existing chrome?Powder coating chrome.?
Spray the outter part of the rim with cheap Krylon, then spray the inner part with powder coat, and then bake it. The Krylon will protect the outter portion of the chrome and keep it from being powder coated, and the heat from the furnace will eventually burn all the krylon and it will just flake off afterward.Powder coating chrome.?
powder coat bake temp is around 350 deg f.

the better question is how to selectively strip the chrome.

should make the chrome slightly yellow, might not at 350 deg
There is a speed shop in portsmouth N.H. that I have been to a few times. They sell powdercoated crome engine parts the still look like chrome just in a color. He said they don't strip the crome and just bake the powdercoat right over it.
