Is is possible to paint a ';black satin powder coating w/ a shining polished face'; aluminum grill black? steps?

I'm ordering this grill combo for my car (Ebay auction below) and want to paint it black because it doesn't come in black. Is this possible? What are the necessary steps i need to take?

Sure you can! Wash with hot soap and water, If it is not clear coated you can use a etching aluminum wheel cleaner. Re-wash.Use a 3M Scotch Brite pad and scuff all areas including corners, Use Krylon semi-flat black paint ( I always warm the paint in a sink full of hot water for about 5 minutes, aids in drying to a harder finish), apply several coats at different angles to get full coverage. Since this not not actual powder coating you may have to refinish once a year. I did all the chrome on a black Suburban using this method over a year ago and it still looks great! Is is possible to paint a ';black satin powder coating w/ a shining polished face'; aluminum grill black? steps?
