Stainless is forever. Powder coat is very durable but can still be scratched and even chipped.Which do you think is better for a gas grill? One with a powder coated finish or one with stainless steel?
I have had both and I found that the powder coated ones keep a more even heat and use less gas. For some reason the stainless steel units tend to dissipate the heat a lot quicker. It also lasts longer and is easier to keep clean.
