Is powder coating water resistant??

What, the powder coating on a baby's bum? Please give more details. Is powder coating water resistant??
';Is powder coating water resistant??
yes it is, and as long as the coating isn't scratched or rubbed off, the metal beneath will not rust.
Yes
I would not use powder coating to line a drum for drinking water.

While largely water resistant, in the long term it will succumb to the presence of water and oxygen. While the the coating is technically solid and very durable - if not VERY well applied you will likely have microscopic holes in the surface of the coating. Plus at that base of the drum you could run into Farady Cage issues and get very low coating thickness in the corners.

(Former powder coating chemist)
sure it is, when the paint is cured it becomes one large molecule of paint
Yes
Yes it is but is doen't like to be submersed. I don't know the application, but as long as it's not constantly wet it should work fine.
